The harsh, aggressive, metallic tone of Dog Day Sunrise's music is emblematic of the band's honest, and independent attitude. A musical recipe of 2 decades of life and pain, combined with their individual influences in the punk, metal, and rock genrescreates a tasty dish that is addictive for many of today's heavy music fans.
Dog Day Sunrise was originally formed as a power-trio in 1996, by members Matt Zurat (vocals/bass), Anthony Manning (guitars), and Joey Bishop (drums). A year later, 1997 saw the first glimpse of what this talented group had to offer in the form of their first studio recorded "Demo", a cassette comprised of 3 of their original songs. 500 copies of this "Demo" had been pressed, and within two weeks of it's release, every copy had been sold.
During the remainder of 1997 Dog Day Sunrise concentrated on live performances as well as new song material for a full-length release. With their music and reputation spreading rapidly, Dog Day Sunrise was becoming a household name for heavy music fans in the New York and Pennsylvania markets. Towards the end of 1998, Dog Day Sunrise added bassist Bob Price to the existing line up, and with Matt now stepping up to the front man position, the energy and emotion was free to flow from all members without any restraints.
After a few months of steady live performances, Dog Day Sunrise took a few months off from the road towards the beginning of 1999 to work on their much anticipated debut CD. The outcome of their studio performance unleashed "Chemical Carnival", an album comprised of 13 new, original, intensely emotional songs drenched with the signature D.D.S. sound and energy that their fans have been craving for so long, and was finally able to take home with them.
With "Chemical Carnival" now released and in stores, 1999 and 2000 saw Dog Day Sunrise expanding it's reach out dramatically, now with live performances, online exposure, and radio play covering many of the North-Eastern US states. In 2001, a change of management occurred, and guitarist J.D. Rowe was added to the band, bringing new influence, and solidifying the band as an unstoppable force in the underground U.S. heavy music community.
The summer of 2001 will see Dog Day Sunrise continuing their energetic live performances, as well as heading into some new musical direction which will be captured in the studio on their Second Full-Length CD, tentatively slated to be recorded during the winter of 2001. With their ever-growing fan base and expansion into new markets, Dog Day Sunrise is now more than just another up and coming band. They are a very serious force to be reckoned with...

The members of this band supply all the crucial elements that a hard rock/metal band needs to become something that people take notice of and support. The talented vocals with the perfect mix of singing and screaming energy, the loud and powerful guitars, the booming bass guitar and a nice backbone of thumping drums all make up the Chaos Theory sound. Combine that with an amazing stage presence and attitude and you’ve got a winning combination. A typical show consists of mostly originals with a cover song thrown in here and there. A Chaos Theory show is always entertaining. Fan favorites like “Misery”, “Deadbeat” or “God’s Hand” have the crowds singing all the words. Those who don’t know the words, or those that just prefer not to sing can be seen head banging along with fists in the air or bouncing around in a crowd pit of energy. They have a versatile fan base including fans of rock, alternative, hard rock, metal and even some hardcore and punk. This band is marketable to many different genres of music fans. This is one of the main things that so many other bands fail to have going for them. Everyone that attends a Chaos Theory show has a great time. That’s a guarantee. That’s what makes this band so interesting and unique.
Since that day in December 2007 when these five guys got together and decided to take this thing serious and take it as far as the powers at be would let them, the band has achieved many great things that are so important to continuously keep taking things to the next level. They released a much talked about debut EP in late 2008 and were offered a development deal with DBM Records. They have a new full length album coming out in spring of 2010 and are getting radio play on several fm and internet radio stations. The band was also nominated for a Detroit Music Award for 2009 and has played all of the best clubs and theaters around the metro area and state of Michigan. Chaos Theory has also been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with some of the best national touring acts on the scene.

Merry Go Drown was formed in the summer of 2000 consisting of members Donn Lacoste and Mike Anglin of System Red with Jeremy Young and Phill Breazeale of Abuse. Added to this strong quartet was singer/songwriter Brandon Magnon who tied in aggressive writing with melodic attenuations. The band is based in New Orleans, Louisiana and has found a home at local venues such as The Howlin' Wolf and House of Blues The Parish. How do you describe the sound? Merry Go Drown writes and performs on a rock base with metallic and industrial influences. Overall they creatively balance drive and hooks to catch the listener's ear.
How is the the show? Energy, Accuracy, and more energy. The band has performed with such artists as From Zero, 12 Stones, Twiztid, Nothingface, Battle for Ozzfest bands CYN, Mantis, & A Dozen Furies. Next, Merry-Go-Drown worked hard with David Maraldo, Beaver Productions and QPrime to be named as the opening slot for Def Leppard at U.N.O. Lakefront Arena.
Most recently Merry-Go-Drown has been picked up by Jagermeister as a JagerBand. The First show on the list was opening for Disturbed at Pensacola Civic Center where they won thousands of fans.
Merry-Go-Drown recorded their latest album 'As She Screams' at their own studio, Merry-Go-Lounge, and worked with NoiseLab engineers Rob Granniss and Jimmy Agustin for mix and master. As She Screams features the cover artwork of Lateefa Wright; a scupture that sets the tone of the album.
